Sustainability matters
Ecological, economical and social sustainability are all important foundation pillars for the World Ski Championships 2027.
Our aim is to deliver a World Ski Championships that contributes in various ways to the three dimensions of sustainability. We are in the process of setting sustainability goals for Falun 2027, and the three dimensions of sustainability should permeate everything we do.
Superhosts with a World Class Arena
Lugnet is amazing and offers the possibility to practice most of the sports within the Swedish Sports Confederation, RF. At Lugnet venue we have the Cross Country arena and Ski Jumping arena ready for hosting the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2027.
Lugnet, Falun and Dalarna have a long tradition of hosting major international events.
Several major events will be organized in Dalarna up until 2027 which will give our volunteers the possibilities to get experience and knowledge to deliver on a high-class standard.

Inspire a new generation to health and movement
Snow gives us fantastic possibilities for play, movement and exercise. The winter city of Falun already has a wide range of inspiring winter activities.
Our ambition is to create activities and projects that contribute to health and movement.
We are inspired by the Swedish Ski Association´s work with Snow for everyone and we believe that winter activities should be a natural part of an active lifestyle.
In Falun it is close to everything
Falun and Dalarna are located in the heart of Sweden with easy accessibility to Stockholm and Arlanda International Airport. Just a short walk from Lugnet Venue you reach the city centre with restaurants and shops and the railway station and also the World Heritage – the Mining Area of the Great Copper Mountain.
We hope we can inspire our visitors to enjoy many of the unique experiences Falun and Dalarna has to offer.

Next level of World Class Ski Experiences
We want, we are able and we are ready to once again deliver a new level of innovative ski sport experiences for the athletes, the spectators and the TV viewers. The technical development is moving fast and we don´t know today about the innovative possibilities in 2027.
To be able to deliver something memorable within this area we will cooperate with exciting partners.

Skid-VM i Falun 2027 AB is the company behind the events, and the host the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 2027. Our office is situated at Lugnet Venue in the Stora Enso building, Lugnetvägen 20, 791 31 Falun.
